Anniversary
Oct. 3rd, 2006 09:02 amWould you believe it was one year ago today that I watched an annoying little movie called "King Arthur" for the first time? Huh, somehow it seems longer.
Back then, I was not impressed. In fact, I was torn between hysterical laughter and frothing indignation, and I think I spent the next day boring A over dinner with all the reasons that the plot was laughable and just painfully wrong. She, poor soul, who had not watched the movie, listened in some bewilderment to my ranting. Well, ultimately, the laugh was on me, because then there was the writing of words--a lot of words.
And here I still am, some 22 drabbles, 30 stories, two unfinished series (one of which is now about, omfg, 200 pages long), and several excellent new friends later.
Happy Anniversary to me!
Oh and speaking of many words, in honor of this occasion, crack will be up later today or tomorrow. (But really, shouldn't you all be giving me gifts? ; ) .)

Date: 2006-10-03 02:08 pm (UTC)Something, I'm not sure what, made me watch it and THEN watch it again and slowly, slowly the addiction began to take shape. It was made all the harder when my own KA Lancelot popped into my head and said "Hi. Can I stay here? I don't CARE if you don't like me. I live here now."
Never mind I already had a more classic Lancelot whose story I'd been telling, never mind that Lancelet from Mists of Avalon was also hanging out. Nothing else would do for My Little Samartian(more commonly known here as Lance S) but to thrust himself into EVERY FREAKING ASPECT OF MY LIFE.
In the end, it is a good feeling. And I think I just typed you an entire novel. Oops. But I look forward to the crack!
Lance S would like to offer you the gift of himself, but I told him you already have the one to deal with and that one is enough. He somehow disagrees.
*sigh* Lancelots...

Date: 2006-10-03 04:05 pm (UTC)Tell your Lance S that, while I'm honored, I already have several Lancelots of my own, and he will be competing against himself for attention, which I know he does not enjoy. It makes him sulk. When Lancelots collide is never a pretty thing.

*hugs you and laughs at your story, because it is so, so similar to mine, though I'm coming up on TWO years now...*
