Title: Legendary
Warnings: none
Word Count: 100
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] ka100 prompt 5a, "Hero"

The three of them laugh at the stories. Arthur’s great and noble knight who stayed to defend the land from the invaders and died to save his beloved, even knowing that she would wed his best friend. It is a legend upon which Arthur’s realm is built, told and retold in sonorous, sweeping tones to rapt listeners.

Although Arthur’s fearsome Sarmatian knights try to keep straight faces in public, they snigger and giggle together in dark corners like boys, most of all because they picture Lancelot’s reaction to such tales. Lancelot, who could not say the word hero without sneering.

Nice! Nice to see short Res. pieces too.

And I can just see L now. "Hero?" *smirk, sneer, eyeroll*

:p

:P oops. This actually isn't Res, although looking at it again, I guess it's open to interpretation. I actually meant it to take place a few years after the end of the movie.

Like I said, sometimes I'm not too smart. :p

But I like it regardless. :)

Nah, silly, it's probably me. I really wanted this one to be longer, but oh well.

I hate it when I get a "good" idea and it's for a damn 100 word assignment.

I liked this though. And it fits both of the verses, so well done.

Oh any time hun, I love your drabbles, they're so well written!

I'm remembering your melancholy drabble with the ghost now that I've read this. Can just imagine the wistful, undead L chortling and smarting at the ludicrous legend woven around him by those pissants! Can just here more color commentary from him, and a sad sigh from Arthur.

Good job.

I'm glad you liked it. : ) There is actually a scene sort of like that in that in Haunted. Recurring themes, anyone? :p

Nicely done!

I can hear him rolling over and over in his grave, "It figures..."

Okay, this feels like a sidebar to your Resurrection series. I enjoyed it tremendously :)))

Even if you hadn't planned on this being part of that wonderful series it could still slide right in there with no questions asked.

Loved it. Truly I did.

I actually wasn't thinking of Res when I wrote it, but there's no reason it can't be read to fit into that story line. I'm happy you liked it!
