Un-promptness

I’m really being quite lazy about LJ and such, but I have started working on some of the prompts I got (if anyone else wants to play, feel free--although see disclaimers ;) ).
Some preliminary notes:
· A number of you seem to really want to force me to write Resurrection, a/k/a teh crack. (Birthday cake? Pie? Disney?) But I rarely do what I’m told.
· Food seems to be a theme. Or least I think it is.
· I don’t think any of these is going to be 100 words. Maybe.
In other random news, I suspended my no sugar rule long enough to try wild cherry m&ms. They were not quite as awesome as I was hoping, but not bad. If I can just get my hands on the mint crisp ones, my life might just be complete.

Date: 2008-05-06 03:03 am (UTC)So, you gonna keep it up through the summer? Couldn't do it (love ice cream on the weekend), though my own summer weekday diet started today. Big balanced brunch on event days; oatmeal/cereal breakfast plus sandwich or salad lunch on non-event ones; soup or salad dinner, plus Greek yogurt with berries and Splenda for dessert. Snacks = limited to sugar free Red Bull. Weekends don't count. We'll see if that makes a difference come swimsuit buying time. Tried my old one on and went AAAAAAAAH!!! ;D
Alright, which TW icon can I use that won't spoil you...

Date: 2008-05-06 03:20 pm (UTC)I probably will keep with the eating thing through the summer, although perhaps with a few more suspensions. I'm still not as fit as I'd like to be--although actually getting myself to the gym more often might be the key to that. But right now it's too nice outside to bother with indoor exercise. I've already deprived myself of most of the stuff I love to eat (bread and its progeny being high on the list), so ice cream, yummy as it is, isn't too much of a challenge. Once in a while is fine.
Speaking of exceptions, I've actually been craving red meat lately (odd for me). Any interest in going to that burger place in the Parker Meridien? I've always wanted to try it.

Need more exercise this week. Was out for the count this weekend, so there went two of my four urban hiking days.

Date: 2008-05-06 04:07 pm (UTC)Yes, that sounds good. I'll plan my eating around it. Mmm... Do we need a ressy?
BTW, while the kids were great, dealing with the Disney machine for the first time since Julie Andrews was the usual spoonful of ipecac. Have Chabon tonight, thank god. Really, one of the perks of my job is that, once a year on average, I get to jump into this man's arms.
