far_mountain. Her prompt to me was "Love is a force of nature."
Returning from Rome, Arthur’s ship had been caught in a storm. Arthur remembers clinging blindly as the ship tossed like a child’s toy and black waves blotted out the sky. There had been nothing to reason with, nothing to fight, only the pure force of implacable wind and water. Arthur had never felt so small and helpless, before or since.
Until now. Looking at the still body of Lancelot, whose unreserved love Arthur had tried to force into a mold more suitable, he feels the storm again. But this time, when the wave crashes down, he knows he will drown.
