Challenge 15: "All a man can betray is his conscience."
Pairing: Arthur/Lancelot
Arthur sat on the edge of his bed, gaze wavering between the cross on the wall and Lancelot, who lay sprawled asleep in rare abandon, looking ridiculously young and sweet.
He couldn't even blame this on drink, nor on Lancelot himself. It had been a sober Arthur who had made the first move, and what followed had felt so perfectly right that Arthur had taken leave of his reason, lost as he was in Lancelot’s heat and scent.
If he could repent, he knew that God would forgive him. But if he could repent, he knew that Lancelot never would.
