Crackiversary Party Game Winner!

Congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] fisher_queen for winning the Crackiversary Party Game!!! She got an incredibly cracktastic score of 20.5 out of a possible 23 points. Not shabby at all--it's better than I would have done! (Tor, btw, only got 11 right, even though he ran around the house accosting people and demanding to know what a "Barlow" was. He eventually, perhaps inevitably, settled on "food" as his answer. Kay, who was quizmaster here, had to give a moments thought before deciding that was worth partial credit.)

[livejournal.com profile] fisher_queen, I'll be contacting you about your prizes, so think about what name and characteristics you want for your crack appearance. I also planned a super sekrit prize for all the party game participants, which is a look at the draft of a scene from the near-mythological next chapter. As [livejournal.com profile] fisher_queen was the only actual participant, she gets the exclusive peek (no sharing!--although you can gloat as you feel is warranted).

I have to admit, though, that I was rather sad about the overall lack of interest in the crackiversary festivities. (At least I didn't go with my original I-am-crazy-and-have-no-need-sleep idea to do a crackiversary crossword puzzle.) Live and learn.

I missed the game deadline! This makes me sad. Also, I was pretty sure I only knew the answers to about two of them (as I have a memory worth...well...nothing). But, the crackiversary did inspire me to start reading everything all over again, which also means I am insanely jealous of fisher_queen right now. I will be patient, though. I have faith that one day that much lusted-after chapter will appear. Happy crackiversary!

No worries. I had to look up and, um check, a few of the answers myself. :) I am making (slow) progress on the chapter, so it will be done . . . er, someday, soonish?h

Proof thatsmoking crack being a geek pays off!

...I'd consider Barlow as a food, sort of. Not a very filling one, mind you!

[identity profile] amari-z.livejournal.com 2009-01-31 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I know who to ask when I can't remember something. :)

Kay gave Tor .25 of a point on the Barlow question. Tough but fair.

Prizes tonight or tomorrow. Do you want to give me a name to use for your walk on part? I'd prefer if it sounded like a real name if possible. Also, give me a few physical characteristics, mannerisms, modes of dress, habits, hobbies, etc. that I might use to to characterize you. I should be able to fit you in the chapter, if not this one than the one after it . . . .

Your prizes can be found here: http://amari-z.livejournal.com/177579.html (filtered for you, so you have to be signed in). Enjoy!

I missed the party due to being out of town visiting Ash, but I have teh crack fic on my 'to do' list for when I return home next week. I am horridly behind on my reading right now. *hangs head*

Hope you guys are having fun!

Sorry I missed the party! I've been bombarded with RL problems such as surgeries, birthdays and having to say goodbye to an old friend (our 15 year old dog had be be euthanized) so I've not been good company. Not even with myself :(

Glad to hear fisher queen won the prize. I'm now anxious to see what you will create.

Shelley

So sorry to hear about your dog and I hope things get better for you soon!

I actually did get to the party but I was a bad guest - I could only answer two questions without cheating. I started a post but got interrupted and I never made it back to tell you, I'm sorry. I loved the fic and I really really am looking forward to that next chapter.

I approve of cheating (whose resurrection are we celebrating, anyway?), so test was open book, but no worries! And I was afraid it would be too easy . . . .

[identity profile] lady-roma.livejournal.com 2009-03-01 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Awww! I would have loved to participate and was even answering the questions in my head, but I came upon the resurrection AU too late. The deadline had already passed, darn it! I'll be there for the next one, though!

If you like, you can still play the game, it's just too late for prizes. If you want to play, I'd be happy to get Kay to "grade" you, just don't look at the answers in the comments to the post.

Too late, I already peeked after i answered the questions. I got about 3/4 right, Didn't get the ones on the ages or the order of death, and I missed the parrot/parakeet one, (sorry, Tristan), but did ok for now. I think I remember my original answers and would still be happy for Kay to grade those, though!
