I dread the day I might have to move. Six book-accumulating years before, I moved to my current place from the top floor of a brownstone. The movers loved me as well. Now I think they would mutiny and murder me.
Yeah, I agree that ebooks are simply less appealing to the senses. I also tend to remember things based on where they fell on the page, and how weighty the book felt on one side v. the other, and I tend to remember what books look like better than I recollect their names.
I am not big into saving fanfic, although I did that when I first started reading online, since I was used to the idea of being able to re-access what I had read. But after a while I realized that I was never going to be able to find anything again that way and I just gave it up as a hopeless mess. (I'm not the excel spreadsheet type, but more power to you.)
Well, I'm glad to have the book reader, regardless. I probably wouldn't have paid for it myself, though. But if they were to start bundling an e-copy with the physical book for either free or a minimal price, I would have been lining up to give them money for one. I'm still hoping.
