Sure, as I said above, this was really directed at people I have on my friends list who I can't remember ever "talking" to. You, I have. :)
It's interesting to me that you say that about being in the UK. I generally consider my fellow Americans as some of the most ignorant people on earth about the Middle East, which is appalling because the U.S. is the third party in the Israel/Palestine conflict triangle. But the U.S. largely inherited that position from Britain, which has a great deal of responsibility for the origin and the framework of the conflict. Anyway, I don't consider myself all that knowledgeable, but I would like to be.
