A moving tale. I read it twice. The first time I was unsure of my feelings about it. The second time, they solidified.
So very sad. Arthur unwilling and unable to let Lancelot go despite the fact that he knows he is the reason the ghost is staying by him.
A fitting way to end your tale with Lancelot's closing lines: "I'd go, Arthur, if only you’d let me."
Loved this offering!
