Oh, I wouldn't kill you for not watching Buffy. If you get a chance, you should. It's in all honesty probably one of the best shows I've ever and will ever watch. That's also the reason I started watching Firefly, and ended up buying the box set. Joss Whedon can write like nobody's business.
